Since NASCAR wants to keep the teams from making changes to the chassis and engine, then they should make the Sprint Cup and Nationwide series spec series and produce the cars and the teams would provide the drivers. It seems logical since it seems NASCAR is heading in that direction.

No, that would spoil the racing, as it is, its interesting, because different manufacturers have different troubles, and once in a while it makes the race interesting, when a top runner blows the engine.

The “kit” or “crate” concept is a good one and should be done. The old “ASA” used a crate engine that would be given to the teams at inspection for the event.
Wish NASCAR would do this so there would be a better parity in the sport.

Thats a great idea. It would save lots of hassles and troubles. And possibly no more failed inspections.

Remember AJ Foyt’s comments a few years ago concerning restrictor plates. He thought it was like running a “Taxi cab race”. If the chassis and engines are all the same, then the cars would all be the same. I personally like to see the competition as to who can get the most out of a car. NASCAR has too many restrictions. The roots of NASCAR are good ole boys hoppin them babies up. In todays racing, there isn’t much room for innovation or experimentation. Back in the day, we had spoiler, high wing cars, aerodynamic noses . . . when was the last time you saw a cool looking NASCAR other than a nice paint job?
I say your idea sucks . . .
