Good question. They usually do it three or four times by now. You would think with all the conspiracy theories floating around, they would want to put them to rest, if indeed they can. Seems a little odd to me that one organization would dominate so much, and they wouldn’t want to reassure the other teams that everything is “on a level playing field”. Especially since that same organization had a horsepower advantage in a lesser series.
I am not trying to insinuate that JGR does indeed have a horsepower advantage in the Sprint Cup series.

It’s probably because the longer they hold off the Dyno test, the longer you can accuse the Toyota’s of having a horsepower advantage. We all know NASCAR loves drama.

Because the Chevroloet and Ford teams have an obvious horsepower advantage, but Rick Hendrick and Jack Roush pays them enough not to bring it up, so people won’t see that they have had an advantage all along. It would make Toyota’s performance even more impressive. It’s either that or because it creates drama among paranoid people who look for reasons to discount the talent of other drivers.
Or just maybe it’s because originally in NASCAR, whoever could make the fastest car deserved it!
